Check the tested combination
More Slots v0.1.1, by Eskimo/Eskimeow, reports a Windows test with game v1.2.0.213891 and UE4SS v3.0.1-1164-g5e627997. Three players were reported working. Four through fifty players were not tested; an allowed configuration maximum is not a proven usable capacity.
This is a report for version 1.2; it does not establish compatibility with 1.3. Match the author’s supported game and loader versions before applying these steps to another build.
The author-linked 1161 loader is different from the reported tested 1164 build. Do not replace an exact compatibility match with an arbitrary “latest” download. A recent upload or a “Safe to use” site label is not an installation or security guarantee.
Install only after backing up
Back up saves and any configuration files you will change. Set up a matching UE4SS build at the actual game executable directory, normally WOTH2/Binaries/Win64, rather than the launcher wrapper’s folder. Start and exit once, then inspect the new UE4SS.log and any errors.
With the matching loader working:
- Put the
MoreSlotsdirectory inWin64/ue4ss/Mods. - Add
MoreSlots : 1to the Mods directory’smods.txt. - Set
MaxPlayersinMoreSlots/settings.inias needed. - Create a new host session and check its actual capacity and joining result.
The author says only the host needs the mod. This changes the session from the official two-player mode; it does not change what the unmodified game supports.
Remove More Slots
Exit the game, move out ue4ss/Mods/MoreSlots and remove its enable line from mods.txt. Restore changed configuration from your backup, then create a new room and check the result.
UE4SS is a shared loader. Removing this mod does not remove the loader, and other mods may depend on it. For a full return to vanilla, use your actual installation file list and backups rather than deleting every DLL or unrelated mod. Removal does not guarantee reversal of every save effect.
